Welcome to 'Mary Slingo Photography' and thank you for taking the time to visit.
Photography has increasingly become one of my main passions. I am particularly interested in photography of the natural world, having been inspired early on by the work of Charlie Waite, Joe Cornish and David Ward. Over time my style has certainly evolved and whilst the 'grand view' is something that I still aspire to, I often find myself looking more closely at the intimate landscapes around us. I now gain most satisfaction by creating an image of a single element that represents the greater whole, which in doing so goes beyond a mere representation. I find that more and more I prefer to 'go in close' and create an image that is as much a celebration of colour and form as it is of the actual subject in hand.
I do hope that you enjoy the images on the website and I would love to hear from you if there is something that you have particularly liked. Do check back often as new images will be added on a regular basis.
