Mary Slingo is an amateur photographer, albeit an enthusiastic one.

She specialises in photography of the natural world and is particularly interested in creating simple, almost abstract, images.

At present her kit comprises: Canon EOS 5D, Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens, Cokin and Lee filters (although increasingly images are unfiltered), Manfrotto tripod and head. She now works entirely with digital media.

In her spare time Mary is a doctor.
